***Package description***

Project Open Sky’s Airbus A330-200 equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines. I’m proud to present you the fictive Malaysian A330 surnamed Hibiscus. In fact, the Hibiscus theme was painted on a 747 but I like very much the scheme and the A330. So why not try a mix? Textures have been entirely re-mastered from scratch, the day and night textures and alpha effects are absolutely new. Typical night lighting and fabulous static reflections on engines that make wings views a delight.

***Scheme story***

I’ve spend more than two months to repaint from scratch this wonderful aircraft done by Project Open Sky. Here’s a short story of the work I’ve done
one it for those who does have the patience to read it. Will you take the challenge?

Step one. The paint kit….. I’ll be honest with you guys….. I hate paint kits! I wont take half a page to explain why I hate them but at least it give you
the main reason why I decided to paint from scratch my own paint kit. So far, I’ve been used to do that for every single aircraft (6 out of 8 different models) I painted since more than a year. Experiences giving me many talents, I can now paint a plane from A to Z without any problem.

Step two. Ok ok, MA didn't paint their A330 to the "Hibiscus" colours in real life. In fact, the Hibiscus theme was painted on a 747. But I like very much the scheme and the A330. So why not try a mix? Nice cocktail hey? I've been looking for a pretty difficult scheme to paint and found a very interesting challenge whit the Hibiscus. The connoisseurs will notice slight modifications to the scheme. I had to do these modifications to make the scheme look better with the A330. Let's just say that the 747 and the A330 fuselage are a bit different... Now I want to make clear that this paint is mostly pure painting. The photo real parts represents less than 10% of the whole textures. I mention this simply because I’m proud of the fact that I don’t only rely on photo real techniques to make my scheme look real. And the fact that Malaysia Airlines doesn’t have any A330’s painted whit the Hibiscus theme tend to prove my say. Photo real render fabulous textures but it is not as fun as painting by hand. It also give myself more proud about the work I’ve done.

***More information details about few details.***

**The wings. This is by far the most difficult pieces to paint. In this case, the paint kit textures where good but not aligned with the templates. How
could it append? I’ll leave that to the discretion of Posky’s painters. However. I totally repainted the wings from scratch. My new textures have absolutely nothing to do in relation with Posky’s textures. The alphas also are totally new. A closer look to the wings will show the richness of the colours and details reach a quality that I've rarely saw. Wing views are absolutely awesome! Some peoples wrote me back after uploading my Virgin Atlantic scheme of the same model (Posky A330-200) wondering how they could have wing views on this model. Easy. You need to go on AVSIM website and search for the add on named "Ultimate Wing Views for the POSKY A330-200". Here you go.

**The engines. Yup. I had the crazy idea to paint reflection of the fuselage on the inner side of the engines for those who like wings views. Remember, no photo real at all for the engines and wings.

**The lights effects on the tails, fuselage, cargo bay, cabin interior and engines are brand new once again. Some of you might be surprised by the shape of the lighting on the tail. It is in fact a typical detail of the real life A330’s lighting equipment. It took me an hour to precisely render the same
effect in FS. Quite a very good job doesn’t it? Same thing for the fuselage and the engines and cabin interior.

Congrats! You read everything!
